De modo a dar continuação à saga, li este livro com o pessoal do bookclub do instagram, imediatamente após ler o volume 1 e 2 - nós lemos um livro por mês. 

Após o fofíssimo segundo volume, eu vinha com muito entusiasmo para ler o The Christmas Tree Farm. A verdade é que apesar de ter os seus pontos fortes e momentos engraçaditos, eu desiludi-me pois este volume não foi tão bom como o anterior.

Esta saga introduz sempre as personagens principais do livro seguinte em algum momento de um livro anterior e foi bom finalmente conhecer o irmão da Jeanie, o Ben. Ele é tão bonzinho e prestativo, o oposto exacto da Kira! 

As interacções deles proporcionaram alguns momentos cómicos e momentos escaldantes, e o Ben realmente fez da Kira uma pessoa mais tolerante e mais capaz de se aceitar e aceitar os outros.

Opinião:
Que eu adoro ler retellings, já é bem sabido, deixo convosco esta versão que li recentemente.

Estamos perante um retelling da bela e o monstro, uma bruxa, uma cabana mágica e uma maldição ou duas, dependendo do ponto de vista. Aqui o Daric (o príncipe/monstro) não é um monstro mas um homem fofinho e educado, e a maldição não afecta apenas o moço, afecta ambos. Estes são alguns dos aspectos que tornaram a história apelativa. 

A cabana está espetacular, tem magia mas também aparenta ter consciência e na minha opinião é um dos pontos altos do livro.

No fim de tudo, o livro é muito mais do que um romance, é também uma história de superação.

Opinião:

No livro um grupo de pessoas, o Tuesday Night Club, junta-se e discute um conjunto de crimes. Cada capítulo está relacionado com um crime e teorias para a sua resolução, sendo finalizado com a revelação do desfecho do mesmo. Como o título sugere, são treze os problemas que são objecto de dedução.

Que livro interessante! Li-o em conjunto com uma pessoa amiga, trocámos impressões e gostámos de ler acerca das diversas teorias apontadas para cada caso.

Achei impressionante que a Senhora Marple presta atenção ao mais ínfimo detalhe e tem sempre as teorias certeiras.

Opinião:

A protagonista Claire é dona de uma pastelaria e tem um dom: ela vê e comunica com os mortos, o que só aconteceu depois da morte do seu marido, Nick. É assim que se mantêm na "vida" do outro.

Este título traz-nos um mistério paranormal sobre quem terá sido o/a assassino/a da avó do esposo da Claire. Devido à sua personalidade desagradável (mesmo após a morte!), parece que não faltam razões nem suspeitos.

A irmã da Claire é policia e esta a fazer a investigação das pistas físicas. A Claire recorre às pistas do campo sobrenatural para ajudar a avó do Nick "a seguir a luz".

Opinião:
Voltamos à cidade de Dream Harbour com mais um romance, desta vez seguindo as personagens Hazel and Noah. Confesso que o primeiro volume não foi bem o que eu estava à espera, pelo que baixei as minhas expectativas para esta leitura.

Gostei muito mais deste livro, o conceito da livraria estava espectacular, o enredo mais cativante, o pequeno mistério aqui foi mais interessante (várias personagens tinham muito potencial para serem quem estava a planear o que a Hazel teria que fazer), no geral, foi bem mais giro e envolvente do que o seu precedente.

A Hazel é uma fofa, parecia tão real com os seus anseios, inseguranças e desejos. Numa cidade pequena onde pouco parecia mudar, a sua vontade de viver novas experiências foi refrescante.

O Noah surpreendeu-me e revelou-se um querido, bastante atencioso. Gostei de acompanhar as interacções do casal e o crescimento pessoal de cada um.
