Opinião:
Esta foi a minha estreia com a autora, Smile foi o primeiro graphic novel que eu li dela. A minha disposição pedia por algo leve, rápido e com uma temática diferente.
Uma queda aparatosa deu início a uma jornada ao encontro do sorriso perfeito. Foram muitos altos e baixos passados pela Raina, inúmeras visitas ao dentista que nem sempre tinha as melhores notícias para a menina, foi um processo moroso onde vários métodos foram tentados e a verdade é que aprendi umas coisinhas.
Gostei das imagens e da história, foi tudo uma jornada de auto descoberta, acompanhando os problemas comuns da adolescência e o crescimento pessoal da protagonista. Aconselho.

Esta obra é o primeiro capítulo da história, contada do ponto de vista do Riden. É uma curta história, descrevendo os eventos e pensamentos do personagem. Foi engraçado ler sobre o que ele pensou quando viu a Alosa pela primeira vez.

Opinião:
Eu não consegui evitar pensar que este tempo todo, eu tinha razão quanto à identidade do assassino e isso deixou-me com uma sensação de decepção. Para este último volume eu honestamente ainda tinha um pouco de esperança de eu estaria errada, que iria acontecer uma grande reviravolta, e que o assassino iria ser uma pessoa completamente diferente, que tinha tido pouca exposição na história. Eu enganei-me, achei previsível.
Agora que tudo acabou vou fazer outra confissão, mais uma esperança que me acalentava: que a Sutton iria estar como paciente parcialmente desfigurada, não identificada, em coma num hospital noutro estado, e que o corpo pertencia a uma turista que caiu durante uma caminhada.

No geral, a história principal está bastante interessante, apesar de achar lamentável que a minha suspeita revelou-se certeira. Finalmente conhecemos todos os detalhes do último dia da vida da Sutton e ficamos a conhecer a loucura por detrás dos eventos que levaram ao crime.

Quanto à Emma, foi bom ver que ela vai ter paz e sossego e que finalmente ganhou a família com que sempre sonhou.

Deixo-vos com uma curiosidade, em 2011 foi lançada uma adaptação no formato de uma série televisiva que foi cancelada após duas temporadas.

Opinião:
Este livro foi-me emprestado por uma colega, quando eu pedi-lhe que escolhesse uns livros que me pudesse emprestar. Nunca tinha ouvido falar do título nem reconheço o nome da autora mas fiquei animada assim que li a sinopse.
A Alosa foi enviada pelo pai - o rei dos piratas - numa missão para recuperar parte de um mapa que está na posse de uns irmãos. Para atingir o seu objectivo, ela deixa-se capturar para dessa forma conseguir acesso ao barco deles. Contudo, as coisas não são assim tão fáceis quanto ela esperava que pudessem ser e o tempo está a escassear.
Gostei imenso de ler este livro, foi bastante diferente do que tenho lido. Este enredo foi repleto de aventura e acção, com um toque de mistério, humor e magia, e manteve-me interessada do início ao fim, não queria perder nem uma pitada. 
Achei as personagens bem construídas e a história bem interessante, com uma reviravolta perto do final que não era de se esperar. Aconselho.

Opinião:
Vamos agora no quinto volume da série/saga, ficamos a conhecer mais um pouco sobre a Becky e não só. Eis que o assassino faz mais uma vítima, que chocante!

Seguimos sem saber se a morte da Sutton foi acidental ou intencional, porém aqui ficamos sem dúvidas quanto à morte desta personagem ter sido intencional - ficou muito óbvio para o leitor que foi um silenciamento, na minha opinião. Devido à identidade da vítima, este acontecimento só veio reforçar as minhas suspeitas.
Oxalá eu não tenha razão, caso contrário vai estragar a minha experiência com a série porque vai ser o que eu considero previsível. Enfim, vou descobrir no próximo volume.

Já no livro quatro e grandes segredos vêm à tona. Finalmente descobrimos as origens das gémeas e são chocantes, muito inesperadas! E mais, agora a mãe delas também é uma suspeita.
Tenho as minhas suspeitas quanto a quem matou a Sutton e aqui e ali noto uma pista ou vejo atitudes ou qualidades que fazem sentido ser esse personagem.
Esta foi uma leitura rápida, com suspense e com uns twists interessantes porém, o padrão que cada livro desta série tem, é sempre o mesmo e estou a achar maçador. Ainda assim, eu estou curiosa para ler mais e descobrir o que aconteceu com a Sutton.
PS. Acho mesmo que os flashbacks da Sutton dão um toque especial à trama.

Aqui acompanhamos um grupo de jovens dançarinos que vão bailar na primeiríssima apresentação do ballet Nutcracker, que nós designamos comummente como o Quebra-nozes. A Stana foi a eleita para interpretar a Clara, a personagem principal e está nervosa e preocupada com receio de não estar à altura do desafio. Ao mesmo tempo, ela tem esses sentimentos amplificados uma vez que lhe chegam notícias preocupantes de casa.
Além de eu gostar de retellings, achei este livro muito giro, gostei bastante da história e as ilustrações também estão muito bonitas. Este livro é apropriado para as várias faixas etárias.

Opinião:
Um breve livro com ilustrações muito bonitas, baseada numa história verídica, que nos conta acerca de uma localidade que teve que ser abandonada para que uma barragem fosse construída no vale Kielder. Uma menina e o seu pai regressam à vila e levam música às casas por uma derradeira vez.
Achei a história bonita e ao mesmo tempo triste e que fez-me pensar na efemeridade das coisas.
